  If it wasn't for the woman at reception with the half shaved head (sorry, I didn't get her name, most identifying feature) I would have given 5 stars. She was short, rude, and told me there was no rooms left. After showing her the online vacancies, I parked the car came back and was shown to Mark, so the woman could finish her shift. Mark was polite and helpful and checked me in. I asked him if there were any more rooms available, and he said there were plenty.
  Sounds like short hair lady just wanted to go home

  Awesome for family stay with kids. Relaxing hotel resort like view, stunning pools, 1 lap pool and 1 play pool. Our family loved it. Kids went into the pool straight away. So many major shopping centres and 24 hr petrol stations around this resort hotel. Car hire is easy. Kicking back to relax on a holiday here is so fun. Close to everything and even the airport. Thanks for all the staff that made the stay relaxing. Highly recommended to any family in the world.

  Room was clean, quiet, central and cheap. I parked on the street without any issues although I wouldn't have gone for a stroll after dark. Internet was fine, bed was comfortable and shower was hot and had awesome pressure. No complaints. Will stay again.

  A lovely older resort style accommodation. Fantastic pool area with 2 large pools, a kids pool and a beach area. There is also an elevated spa above the pool with a cascading waterfall between.
  The rooms are clean and spacious with air-conditioning.
  The downfalls are, the car parking is a long way from some of the rooms, the layout makes for alot of walking from the front reception to quite a few of the rooms and it is located out of the main city (approx 12 minutes drive).
  The prices are very reasonable, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

  The room was good although slightly old fashioned. The receptionist when I arrived felt very rude and stand offish. Going ahead to even blame me for her own mistake! (Reading the reviews it seems I'm not the only one experiencing this). Location is good if you have a car otherwise nearly an hour walk to get to town. Some of the rooms mine included are right next to the highway which means it can get be a bit noisy.

  The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooms are situated on a main road, so bring ear plugs for the traffic. Palm Royale on Chester Court is a reasonable option for under the $100 per night bracket.

  Clean room. Plenty of space. Staff very friendly and helpful. 3 mile walk into Cairns, better if you have a car. Pool was clean and lovely. However Wi-Fi dis not reach into the room and you have to get a code every 2 hours bit reception are happy to provide this.
